As a result of client demands in the mid 1990's, Prof. Dominic Cooper developed a set of 'DIY' Behavior-Based Safety Training Manuals.

Beating off a strong field, these won the 1997 Safety & Health Product Innovation Award in the Training Category from the United Kingdom's Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).

Although the award was very important to us as a company, it also showed that Behavior-Based Safety had arrived in the 'mainstream' of Health and Safety management thinking.

As a result of B-Safe^®, clients such as McVities (Winner of a British Safety Council 'Sword of Honour" in 1996 and the RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety award in 1997) and ICI (Business Excellence Award in 1999) began to win prestigous safety awards as well. Such successes led to the British HSE and other National Safety Organizations to produce behavioural safety guidelines based on our research.

Behavior-Based Safety has since been adopted by many companies around the world, large and small, as a key component of their safety culture strategy.
